Madeline Pearce Obituary

Madeline Christina Brenner Pearce, age 91, of 539 Long Reach Drive, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at Anderson Area Medical Center.

Born in Trenton, N.J., on Oct. 15, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Brenner and Sophia Decker Brenner.

She was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Ewing in Ewing, N.J.

Beloved mother, she was survived by her daughters, Joyce Austin of Anderson, Audrey Bethke and her husband, Ronald of Salem; two grandsons, Bradley of Salem, Blair, his wife, Pam, and great-grandson, Kevin of Pickens; brother Charles and wife, Jean of Langhorne, Pa.; sister, Amelia; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and six sisters and brothers, Mrs. Pearce was preceded in death by her husband, Chester.

Services will be held Monday, March 11, 2002, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Rev. Melton Arant and the Rev. Peggy Garland officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery of First Presbyterian Church of Ewing in Ewing, N.J.

The body is at The McDougald Funeral Home where the family will receive friends on Monday, March 11, 2002, from 3 to 4 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, Parsonage Fund, 5847 Highway 187 North, Anderson, SC, or to Salem United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 42, Salem, SC 29676. - The McDougald Funeral Home.
