Ken Travillion Obituary

TRAVILLION Ken Conrad Travillion a native of Pascagoula, MS and a resident of Mobile, AL passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. He was born on February 4, 1951 in Pascagoula, MS to the late Hansel C. Travillion and Grace Hanshaw Travillion. Ken graduated from Alcorn State University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technical Education. He was a catastrophe /flood adjuster, owned R&T Distributors, Consolidated Contractors, and was a former part owner and Chief Operations Officer of Aero Marine Products. Early in life, he gave his life to God. He was a member of St. Peter Baptist Church in Pascagoula and an active member of the church choir. Ken was always willing to give his time and talents to the church. After relocating to Mobile, AL, he became a member of the Word of God Church. Ken leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife, Elizabeth Travillion; son, Leslie Thompson of Mobile, AL; daughter, Alicia Thompson of Mobile, AL; two grandsons, Kriston and Kamaron Thompson; sister, Leah Rollins of Pascagoula, MS; a devoted niece, Amber Rollins of Gautier, MS; a great nephew, Zion Ezra Rollins of Gautier, MS; foster brothers, Jerome Thomas of Pascagoula, MS and Robert Rollins (Annette & daughter, Rita) of Jackson, MS; mother-in-law, Minnie Hankins of Louisville, GA; father-in-law, Curtis Smith (Patricia) of Atlanta, GA; two aunts, Edna Ruth Breaux and Juanita Brown of Baton Rouge, LA; a host of family, friends and neighbors. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Union Baptist Church, 1509 Dupont Ave, Pascagoula, MS 39567. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Services are to begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. William Marshall, Pastor of St. Peter Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Turner Gulf Funeral Services, 1809 Telephone Road, Pascagoula , MS 39567.
