Denver Lamb Obituary
News Death Notice
LAMB, Denver age 54 of Morrow passed away Thurs. June 10, 2010 at his residence. A singer/songwriter, he spread the gospel message with his songs throughout the country. He also worked for Kash Amburgy, Cincinnati Microwave (aka Escort), and Sumco. He stood loyally by his pastor/dad for 35 years at the Lighthouse Harbor Free Pentecostal Church in Lebanon. A member of ASCAP, he also enjoyed his dogs, the holidays, and his sisters' kids, who he claimed as his own. He was preceded in death by his parents Pastor Emery and Dorothy Lamb. He is survived by his wife Sonia; his sister Brenda (Woodrow) Horn of Morrow; two nieces Holley (Randy) Spencer of South Lebanon and Heidi (David) Lamb of Lebanon; six great nieces and nephews Morgan, Jordan, Jaelin, Braxton, Brycen, and Brooke; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and fans. Funeral services were 1 PM Tues. June 15 at the Lighthouse Harbor Free Pentecostal Church, Lebanon. Rev. Bill Lamb officiated. Burial Miami Cemetery, Corwin. The family received friends 5-9 PM Mon. at the church. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville is serving the family. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.stubbsconner.com.

We had so much fun down thru the years it is such sweet sorrow to let him go. I'll never let him go completely because I carry him in my heart with wonderful memories. Everyday I think of something that we did growing up and laugh out loud. We learned about life together and lived so many great days together traveling and singing. Climbing trees and getting caught.... too many funny things. Singing harmony,learning new songs.... we laughted a lot about everything. We ate a lot of peanut butter sandwiches together. Yum! I'll miss the laughter and the singing but know we'll laugh and sing together again. I thank God for you and the joy you brought to my life. Just seems you left so soon. I'll see you sooner than you think!

My sympathies and God's peace to Denver's family and close friends. Though I had not seen Denver in years I knew him to be a sweet-spirited man. I remember our early years at Little Miami. He and I shared the same birthday and would always make sure we wished each other well. I knew he had accomplished much in the gospel music realm and was not surprised at his talents. I am comforted to know we will meet again in heaven and I can tell him that in person.

I was so sad to hear of Denvers passing he was indeed a great song writer and singer more importantly an overcomer!!!! I remember Denver from my days as a Disk Jockey at WCNW 1560 am I have spinned a many of Denvers great songs! You will be missed But the Good Lord must have needed you more than we did!

Denver was not only a great Christian, a great songwriter and a great person, but he was also a great friend. I played lead guitar for the Denver Lamb singers and traveled with them for a little while and Denver was the most kind and loving person that you could ever meet! Tears speak of the hurt that we feel today, but our soul rejoices that Denver is now home at the place that he loved and sang so much about. We will miss you dear friend, but a day of reuniting is coming soon and then "it will truly be worth it after all!"

Denver was one of the sweetest men I have ever met. He touched me with his kindness, and with his anointed singing. I will never forget him. He has already found out that it truly was, "Worth It After All". Thank you Denver for all you gave on this earth!

I'll always remember Denver and his kind and gentle ways - and that smile he always gave everyone :-)
To put words to music, which touched - and will continue to touch - the hearts of others is truly a gift of God. To share it and let it blossom took an energy and love of others that Denver truly possessed. What a kind man and how lucky my family and I were to know him!

Sending prayers for your entire family. We lost a wonderful singer and songwriter and friend in the Lord. But Heaven gained a new voice for the choir. we have so many memories of hearing him sing at Stubbs and also at Farmersville years ago. Our prayers are with you all. May God give you comfort in this time of sorrow and grief.
