Ben Wilson Obituary

Ben Heaston Wilson, 80, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Indiana University West Hospital in Avon. He was born on August 31, 1941 in Blackford County to the late Clem and Hazel Wilson. Ben graduated from Montpelier High School, and worked most of his life as a land surveyor. He married Lucy Slater on April 9, 1990. In his free time, Ben loved spending time outdoors. He also enjoyed fishing and wood working.
Ben is preceded in death by his parents; son, Bryan Wilson; brothers, Tom Wilson, Walter Wilson, Bob Wilson, Paul Wilson; and sisters, Ruth Wilson, Mildred Twibell. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Lucy Wilson; sons, Ben J. Wilson, Eric M. (Tracy) Wilson, Erin M. (Shelby) Wilson, Stanley D. Wilson, Taylor Y. (Meadow) Wilson, Jeremy A. (Kris) Slater, Travis L. Slater; daughter, Amanda C. (Matt) Stewart; brother, Charley (Ruth) Wilson; sisters, Wilma (Doug) McClain, Barbara Eubanks; 28 grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; as well as many other extended family members and friends.
