I think of her from time to time, and remember her smiling face while bowling with Cali, Maggie & Josh at Spare Time. Time may pass, but the memories are special.

Although I did not speak to her much, I did meet her and when I did, she was full of positive vibes and was so kind. She knew when to have fun and gave off good energy. Rest in peace, Alana. Your friends and I will remember you. Even if it was for one mem

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I am a student at CCSU and a mother of two girls. I did not have the pleasure to meet Alana but from what I have read, she seemed like a beautiful and vibrate young lady. Again my prayers go out to you and your family.

Vinnie, Louise and Justin: We can not imagine what you are going through. You are in our thoughts and prayers. I will always remember her smile and the devious look she had whenever her and Marisa were together, which sometimes meant trouble, but lots of giggles and laughs. She left behind many memories and smiles. She is looking down on all of us with a big smile.
Love and hugs!

Words cannot express the sadness felt by so many. Alana's smile was contagious and was caught by everyone who had contact with her. She was exciting to watch on the court. Her tragic loss will be forever felt and I wish you were able to see her smile one more time. I handed her the SWHS diploma and I will always remember that smiling young lady as she walked across the stage. My thoughts and prayers are with your family now and forever.

I am SO sorry about your horrible loss. I was so shocked to see this story. My daughter is a freshman in college. She has survived two totalled cars with barely a scratch. Both were very scary but she was so lucky. I can't imagine what you are going through. I am thinking and praying for you and your family.

My condolences to the family.

My heart was torn with the news of her passing. I was blessed to have known such a great young lady. She was a good friend to many and a great athlete with a competitive nature and a quiet confidence. I always enjoyed her ability when watching her play volleyball.
My favorite memory was her final match at SW High School when Alana was serving for the last point to win her last game and the coach who never let the girls jump serve gave her the go ahead and with that she threw the ball up then jumped up and hammered the ball perfectly for an ace. The team and crowd cheered and celebrated while she smiled with the confidence of the great athlete she knew she was.

An Angel in life as she is now in death.

Rest in Peace

Vinnie, Louise and Justin Not sure why God takes the best at such a young age sometimes. Denise showed me a video that Louise posted of Alana singing a song from the movie Frozen. As much as I dislike winter how can you not want to go outside and build the best snowman ever this winter and that's exactly what Alana would want us to do. She would not want us to be so sad. Maybe God gives people like Alana such a presence because they are here for such a short time. Anyone who talked with her even once would notice how she lite up a room, you could see that she was happy and loved to have a good time. You could see how strong her spirit was. She would want us to continue to enjoy life. Goodbye for now Alana. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. From Hans, Denise and Kids

Dear Ferrante Family,
Comfort, Peace, Hope, May they be yours in this time of sadness. I had Alana in my CCD's class for three years, a very good student and she new her prayers. After that I would pick her up when I drove Tiffany and Dayton my two grand children to the library or community center for CCD, they had many good laughs together. Dayton stopped by your house and his comment was it was so sad to see her father and brother Justin. Having just lost my 106 years and eight months old mother a few weeks ago, my heart goes to you all for the loss of your beautiful so young daughter. Tiffany is coming from college to attend her funeral.
Thinking and praying for you with deep and sincere Sympathy.

I am so saddened and heartbroken for the loss of your daughter Alana... My daughter {Elaina Giordano} cherished the friendship they had and was really looking forward to having Alana in the same dorm as her this year at UConn.
I will always remember the nice visits we had at my apartment back in their middle school and high school days. The sleepovers, swimming, singing and playing with the other girls and just what a nice, polite and beautiful young lady your daughter was and always will be to all those who knew her.
May God bless her and all your family in these very difficult times now and always.
Alana will live in all our hearts forever !!!
