Anthony DeCarli Obituary

Anthony R. DeCarli, 81, of Ellington, died Friday, (November 9, 2001) at Fox Hill Nursing Home, Rockville. He was the husband of Doris (Skogland) DeCarli for 61 years. Anthony was born in Turino, Italy, the son of the late Peter and Angeline (Bonan) DeCarli, and resided in Ellington most of his life. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II, a communicant of Saint Bernard Church, Rockville, a life member of the Ellington Fire Dept. for 47 years, and a member of American Legion Post #62, Ellington. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Anthony DeCarli, Jr. of Tolland; five daughters, Christine Webber of Rhode Island, Doris Madensky of Millis, MA, Sister Anna DeCarli of Lyndhurst, NJ, Nancy Mulvaney and Carol Flynn, both of Rockville; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Joan Parsons. His funeral will be Tuesday, November 13, 9 a.m., from White-Gibson-Small Funeral Home, 65 Elm St., Rockville, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at Saint Bernard Church, Rockville. Interment will follow Grove Hill Cemetery with Military Honors at Grove Hill Cemetery, Rockville. Family and friends may call at the funeral home TODAY, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Ellington Fire Dept. or Ellington Volunteer Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 71, Ellington CT 06029.
