Bernard, Breen B, Jr. 
Breen B. Bernard, Jr., 55, of Newington, passed away on Tuesday, (March 12, 2013), at his home. Born in Hartford, son of Breen B. Bernard, Sr. and Regina (Duffy) Bernard, he lived in Newington all of his life. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, Newington and was employed as a LPN at Newington Health Care Center. He was an avid sports fan, coin collector and a very good poker player. Above all, Breen loved being a father to his children, Breen, III, Brayson and Evan. Along with his parents; he leaves his brother Michael Bernard and his wife Vicki of Sanford, ME; his two sisters, Kimberly Bodnar and her husband Bohdan of Barkhamsted, and Kelley Bernard of Old Orchard Beach, ME; his sons' mother Kimberly Koczka of Wethersfield; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 183 Church St., Newington. Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington is serving his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. I am so sorry for your loss. I served in the army in germany from 76 to 77 in augsburg. I was telling my boy about this medic I knew who was crazier than me... Really cool, tough guy friend. After 36 years I look him up and find him gone. So sad I missed him. I have a few stories....we were close then.
