Christopher S. Flynn

Christopher S. Flynn, 74, died at Hartford Hospital November 7, 2022 from complications of Alzheimer. Christopher was born in Providence, RI to Dr. Joseph C. & Eveline (Lynch) Flynn. After graduating from LaSalle Academy, he entered the United States Air Force, serving in Alaska and Cape Cod, MA. After an honorary discharge from the USAF, he attended Rhode Island College, and graduated with a degree in Special Education. Chris spent several years as an educator, before training as a computer programmer. He worked for Travelers, American Express, and Citibank while living in CT and FL. Although he was raised in the city, Chris loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially in Alaska, Florida and Connecticut. With fondness, he often reminisced about his childhood summers spent with his family at Bonnet Shores, RI. Chris was an avid reader, and a devout Catholic. Chris lived his last few years under the care of the VA Health Care Center in Rocky Hill, CT. Chris was predeceased by his parents, his sister Maureen Lawson, and his brothers Dr. Joseph C. Flynn, II, and Raymond W. Flynn. Chris is survived by his brother Gary Flynn and his wife Janet, and sister-in-laws Diane Flynn, and Susan Flynn. Chris leaves behind many nephews, nieces, and cousins, who will remember Uncle Chris with great affection. Funeral arrangements are private.
