David Krall Obituary

David Henry Krall of Provincetown, MA and Boston died peacefully in his sleep Thursday, (June 14, 2001) in his Provincetown home. He was 62. Born and raised in Philadelphia, David is the son of the late George and Edna Krall. He graduated from West Chester Teachers College in West Chester, PA. and lived most of his adult years in Hartford. He retired from Lego Systems, Inc. of Enfield, in 1999, and has spent the last two years between his homes in Boston and Provincetown. David loved Provincetown and had dreamed of spending time in his Angel's Landing home after retirement. He will be remembered for his compassionate wisdom, sense of humor and kindness. He was a loving partner, parent and devoted friend. He will also be remembered for his long and dedicated work with AIDS Project Hartford, where he served as an AIDS buddy, facilitator of support groups and member of the Board of Directors. His partner, Jonathan Foote of Boston and Provincetown; two children Maggie Krall of Philadelphia and Andrew Krall of Denver, CO; a brother George Krall of Chapel Hill, NC; and his devoted Springer spaniel 'Stella' survive Mr. Krall. He also leaves many devoted and loving friends. A memorial service is being planned for later this summer in Boston, at a time and place to be announced. Memorial contributions may be made in David's name to the Human Rights Campaign, a group dedicated to ending discrimination and violence against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, PO Box 96446, Washington, DC 20077-7308.
