Donald Piccoli Obituary

Dr. Donald Leo Piccoli 71, of Madison, Ct. passed away on August 19, 2021 in St. Petersburg Florida. Born in New Britain Connecticut on February 4, 1950, the beloved son of the late Leo J. and Rose M. (Rossi) Piccoli. He attended local schools and graduated from the Life Chiropractic College of Marietta, Georgia. Dr. Don had practiced in the towns of New Britain and Kensington. Don had a love for the sea, spending summers at the family cottage in his younger years, countless hours on his sailboat with his sailing buddy Wayne, fishing, clamming, or just spending time on the beach. He loved all genres of music, especially Jazz and Rock. He was also known as a masterful chef creating recipes influenced by his Italian ancestors, his trips to Italy and especially the knowledge and the input from his father. Don was proud that he was able to complete one of the last items on his bucket list which was embarking on the pilgrimage of the Camino de Santiago in Spain. He joined an international assembly of persons living with acute and chronic illness in which he found great support and comfort during his illness. He will be deeply missed by his family and his many friends. Don is survived by his brother John and his wife Elaine, his brother-in-law, Walter Cross, his nephew Jeffrey Piccoli and his children Sara and John, his niece Wendy Steeves and husband Brett and their children Taylor and Paige, many cousins, their spouses and children. He was predeceased by his sister Marie Piccoli, who he missed dearly. The family would also like to thank his cherished friends Wayne and Sharon Mariner, Mark and Mary Ellen Levenberger, June Petillo and Donna Mowel. Family and friends are invited to a prayerful celebration of Don's life that will be held at the Meigs Point Pavilion, Hammonasset Beach, Madison on September 17th, 2021 at 9am as Don wished.

Dr. Piccoli was my chiropractor a bunch of years ago. He was a wonderful man. My condolences. I'm sorry for my late response as I just learned of this from a coworker who also benefitted from Dr. Piccoli's care.

My heartfelt condolences to Don´s family at this very sorrowful time. I am saddened that I did not know of his death until after his memorial services.
It was a gift to know him and support him as a friend and colleague.

May Donald Piccoli be free from suffering and the causes of suffering.
May Donald Piccoli know happiness and the true source of happiness.

Dr. Piccoli was one of the best employers I ever had. He cared what happened to you us as his employees, he was very caring to me as I was going through a rough divorce at the time I worked for him. I will never forget Dr.Piccoli he took us to New Orleans twice for a work seminar it was the best time I ever had in my life, we never made the seminar. He was interested in us learning about the jazz the music the culture of New Orleans that he lost track we had a seminar. He was an amazing man , and I was grateful to get to know him, and worked for him. He will be missed by many, including me

I'm so saddened to hear about Dr Picolli's passing. He was my chiropractor for probably 20 years and by far the best I've ever had, before or since. I was just thinking about him last week and hoping he was well. My deepest sympathy to all of his loved ones. I grieve with you.
Sincerely,
Rose (and Emily)

We were sad to hear about the passing of Dr. Piccoli. He always greeted us with a warm smile and his terrific hands. I used enjoy his cartoons pertaining to his profession that he displayed. Our quality of life my wife and I enjoyed was because of DR. Piccoli for over thirty plus years. Our condolences to his family, this was a great loss for you as well for us.

I was a patient of Doctor Piccoli for 31 years and have so many fond memories. We shared laughter and tears over those years with each of our personal tragedies and he was a good friend. Will always remember the poinsettias he gave out at Christmas time, the bell you rang for a miracle when you came to the office in pain, but most of all his response every time you asked him how he was. "Nearly perfect" was always his response, even when he wasn´t. A visit to his office with Donna´s loving personality and his care was always a day maker. Godspeed dear Don. And thanks for everything!!
