STAVNITSKY, Elizabeth M. Elizabeth M. Stavnitsky, a Manchester, resident for many years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, (September 24, 2005), after a brief illness. She was born in Farmington, daughter of the late George and Susan (Adamy) Stavnitsky and moved to Manchester in 1919. Miss Stavnitsky retired from the Travelers Insurance Company and was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church for many years. She was predeceased by three sisters and a brother, Helen S. Beebe, Emily A. Stavnitsky, Elsie C. Clifford and George E. Stavnitsky. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Izola Stavnitsky of Newington; four nieces and a nephew, Elinor Alfieri of Meriden, Bernice Daniel of Windsor Locks, Arleen DiFrancesco of Wallingford, Bette Bohlin of Blacksburg, VA and George Beebe of Weathersfield, VT. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Hospice and Pallative Care for the compassionate and loving care given to Elizabeth. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 11 a.m. at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester with burial to follow in the East Cemetery, Manchester. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 40 Pitkin Street, Manchester, CT 06040 or Hospice and Pallative Care, 111 Founders Plaza, East Hartford, CT 06108.
