Bob, Tom and family
It's true, you never think that the last time you speak to someone will really be the last time. Your dad and mom were like parents to me from the very beginning. Dave and I had so much fun with you guys back then. I used to make your dad shepherd's pie and he and mom introduced me to shrimp and lobster,,, After David passed in 1980 I had a talk with your father who told me that I would always be his daughter . I cried that day too. I love them so very much and I am so sorry for the loss of such a great part of this family. Through all these years I am so grateful that they continued to include me in their lives as they were in mine. ,,, Miss you,,, love you

Bob and Almost-Cousin-Tom - At our house, he was known as Uncle Gilbert (my brother came up with this name when he was little, and it stuck). I have many great memories of Wednesday night horseshoe tournaments at your house and ours. I also remember Uncle Gilbert as a kind and gentle man who had a great belly laugh. My deepest sympathy to you in the loss of a great father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who lived a good, long life.

Bob and Tom, We are sorry to hear that you've lost your Dad. He and your Mom were very special to my family -- I've grown up with you and your parents for most of my life. They were two of the kindest and caring people I've know. You Dad always greeted me with a smile, a hug, and a kiss -- we saw him frequently when he was in Portland Rehab during the December, 2019, holidays. He and my Dad were good friends for a period of almost 60 years.

There are too many fond memories to even start to recall. Picnics in Portland, trips to Vermont, skiing vacations -- the list keeps going on. I played golf with him several times at Portland West -- we certainly had a good time and celebrated at the 19th hole.

He and your Mom will always be part of the fabric of our memories. I loved them like another set of parents. Please accept the sincere condolences from my family to you and your extended families.
