Just talking about Joe the other day with his friend Nolan Lewis, he will forever be a great friend . Joe always had a great smile on his face and always was very positive things to say when we talked. God bless his family always.

I can't believe a year has gone by so quick in the loss of Joe Green. Joe will always be remembered to me as a great friend and personality that was second to no-one.

Joe was one of my best friends growing up. We played football and baseball together at Weaver High School. I was fortunate to be able to block for him on many of his touchdown runs as well as catch for him when he pitched. We played summer JC Courant baseball together for Herb's Sport Shop every summer. He was a truly gifted athlete but he was a better person. We spent countless hours together hanging out at Phil Fuggee's house on Blue Hills avenue. Joe was always a gentleman. Those Weaver years were very special. I was fortunate to have Joe as a friend.

I had the privilege of being a member of the 1967 Weaver High School football team. Although I could never to approach Joe's athleticism or ability, it was an honor to be his teammate. He was an exceptional athlete, however he was an even better person. Joe always had a warm smile and a kind word for everyone. He will be greatly missed. may he rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

Joe was an outstanding person that I considered a great friend. Joe was one of my customers in the barber shop on Albany Ave back in the day and a customer every barber wish he had. God bless Joe and his family in this time of loss.
