Joseph Lintner Obituary

Joseph John Lintner, Jr., 56, of Windsor, beloved husband of Christie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, (November 2, 2003) at the Windsor Rehabilitation and HealthCare Center, in Windsor, from complications following a courageous four year battle with prostate cancer with his family by his bedside. Besides Christie (Walsh) his wife of 22 years, Joseph is survived by his children, Kira Lintner of Lebanon, Jenna Lintner of Aloha, OR, Jason Lintner of Portland, OR; and his granddaughter, Alexis Lintner of Aloha, OR. Joseph also leaves his mother and stepfather, Theresa (Donovan Lintner) and Vito DeCarolis of Northport, FL. He is predeceased by his father, Joseph John Lintner of Northampton, MA. Born in Northampton, MA, in 1947, Joseph graduated from Northampton High School, in 1965. He graduated with his Associate Degree from Greenfield Community College, Greenfield, MA, in 1968, and was awarded his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business & Marketing from Western New England College, Springfield, MA, in 1971. He received his Certificate of Data Processing in 1978 and was in the process of working on his Masters Degree Business Administration. Joseph was employed for six years by and retired from Hedberg Data Systems, East Windsor, where he was employed as a Data Processing Software Engineer. Joseph liked traveling, racquetball, historical reading modeling making, and best enjoyed being with his family. The Funeral will be held Thursday morning 9 a.m. from the Ahearn Funeral Home, 783 Bridge Rd., Northampton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Annunciation Church in Florence at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Northampton. Calling hours are Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. The Lintner family requests donations be made in Joseph's name to the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center, 85 Retreat Ave., Hartford, CT 06106.
