Kenneth Mayo Obituary

Kenneth E. Mayo, 78, of Pratt St., Bristol, husband of Edmay (Theriault) Mayo, died Monday, (July 29, 2002) at Bristol Hospital after a short bout with cancer. Mr. Mayo was born in St. Francis, ME on June 14, 1924 and was a son of the late Wilbur and Clara (Morrison) Mayo. He was raised and lived in St. Francis, ME, where he worked for Aroostook and Bangor Railroad for 12 years. He moved to Bristol in 1955 and was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford for 33 years retiring in 1987. In addition to his wife, Mr. Mayo is survived by four sons, Kenneth W. Mayo and his girlfriend, Joanie Pedersen of Exeter, NH, James Mayo and his wife, Elizabeth of Terryville, Mark K. Mayo, and Wayne Mayo, and his wife, Sue, all of Bristol; two daughters and a son in law, Debra Ciquera, and Donna and Robert Baehr, all of Bristol; a sister, Myrtle "Babe" Jandreau of Plainville; three grandchildren, Matthew and Anthony "AJ" Ciquera, and Adam Baehr; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Sue Mayo. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Thursday between 6-8 p.m. Funeral and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Debbie & Family,We are saddened to hear of the loss of your dad. It's been a tough year with cancer, and with studying and research on it, we can now know that he is going to rest in peace and the cancer cannot hurt him anymore. My prayers are
