I am saddened to learn of Lonnie's passing. I met Lonnie bowling at AMF Meadows years ago. He always, always made me laugh either telling jokes or stories, or just getting upset at the pins the few times he'd actually miss! He was an awesome bowler, a great listener and a total gentleman. My heart goes out to his family. He will be missed very much. Peace be with you all.

My sincere condolences to Lonnie Brooks' family. I had the fortune of getting to know Lonnie while coaching him in baseball at Western Connecticut. We even took a 20-hour car trip to be with the baseball team in Florida after we couldn't make the flight with the rest of the team. He slept 16 of the 20 hours.
Lonnie was always in a good mood except when he was playing basketball then he was as fierce as they come.
I will always remember his smile and laugh and can only hope that he is at peace. I know he will be missed.

To the family of Lonnie Brooks:
My heart and condolences go out to you and yours. I had the pleasure of attending WCSU with LB. He was a great person to play basketball with and an extreme challenge to defend. He had a wicked jumpshot that I personally will never forget. But more importantly he was a good person who was down to earth with a wonderful sense of humor. Needless to say there was never a dull moment when we saw each other. His laughter made us all laugh and he will be missed deeply.
Lonnie you were always a handful of surprises but this one was a shock! As I struggle with your departure I pray you rest in peace my brother! God bless and keep you. With love... forever! Snypes-

To the family of Lonnie Brooks, I express my deepest, heartfelt condolences. I met Lonnie while bowling at the AMF Meadows bowling alley. It was always a joy to see Lonnie each week. He always had a joke to tell and was one of the most personable people that I know. I am saddened to hear of his death and pray that the Lord will be with you all in your time of need. Please remember that the Lord is always speaking to you, but it is only when you are quiet can you hear what he is trying to convey. God bless.
