Mary Elizabeth Tracey

Mary Elizabeth Tracey, age 60, passed away on August 10, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 18, 1963, in Hartford, CT, to the late Thomas and Mary (Meyers) Tracey. Mary grew up in West Hartford and received her education at St. Thomas the Apostle School and went on to graduate from Hall High School and Capital Community College. For many years, she managed The Madison Cafe alongside the late Americo Figueiredo. More recently, she was employed as a security officer at Allied Universal and served as a shop steward for 32BJ SEIU.

Marybeth is survived by her brothers, Tom Tracey, Tim Tracey and his wife Debbie, Peter Tracey and his wife Jayne, Frank Tracey and his wife Cathy, and her sister Kathy LaChance. She is also survived by her niece and goddaughter, Liz Carey and her husband Scott Ingalls, as well as her nieces Megan Tracey, Cat Tracey, and Andrea Feuerstein and her husband Michael; nephews Ryan Tracey, Matt Tracey, Justin Tracey and his wife Teresa, and Brandon Tracey and his wife Megan. Additionally, she leaves behind many cousins, friends, and co-workers who were fortunate to know her.

Marybeth's parents and her brother-in-law John LaChance, preceded her in death.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in West Hartford, CT on October 7, 2023 at 10:30 AM. A reception at Wood-n-Tap in Hartford will follow for family and friends to pay their respects and celebrate Marybeth's life.
