ISLIEB, Robert J. Robert J. Islieb, 60, Investement Portfolio Manager; Loved golfing and sailing, formerly of Glastonbury, died on January 31, 2007 at home surrounded by his loving family after a long illness with cancer. Born on August 22, 1946 in Hartford, he was the son of the late Walter and Lena (Thibodeau) Islieb. He graduated from Glastonbury High School and University of Hartford. Bob worked as a Portfolio Manager for Aetna Life & Casualty in Hartford, and IBM in Stamford. He retired to Cape Cod in 2001 where he was an avid golfer and sailor. He also enjoyed kayaking and tennis. He was married to Patricia (Jones) Islieb for 35 wonderful years and had two children, Kerry Islieb of San Diego, CA and Jennifer Islieb of Belmont, MA. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends, new and old. His life will be remembered at Morris & O'Connor Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Drive, South Yarmouth on Friday February 2 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday February 3, at 11a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury, CT. Friends and relatives invited to call at the church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Green Cemetery, Hubbard St., Glastonbury. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to Hospice of Cape Cod, 765 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601

We welll remember the first time we met Bob - standing in our driveway right next door. We enjoyed many laughs together over the past 6 years. He will be missed not only as a neighbor but also as a dear friend. Patty - we will be there for you. You and the girls have our deepest sympathy.
