Steponas "Steve" Zabulis

ZABULIS, Steponas "Steve" Steponas "Steve" Zabulis, 76, of Manchester, passed away on Thursday, (November 27, 2008) surrounded by his family. He was born March 2, 1932, in Lithuania to the late Emilija and Juozas Zabulis. He immigrated to the United States in 1950. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning he began his career in the Post Office, simultaneously obtaining his BS from the University of Hartford. For ten years he served as President of the Lithuanian American Community of Hartford. His lifelong passion was Lithuanian Scouting. He enjoyed UCONN girls' basketball and his garden. Besides his wife of 46 years, Birute, he leaves his son Raymond Zabulis and his wife Zina; his daughter Regina Miltenberger and her husband Timothy; four loving grandchildren: Algirdas, Paulius and Lidija Zabulis and Samantha Miltenberger. Calling hours will be Sunday, from 2-5 p.m. at D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, 53 Capitol Avenue, Hartford. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
