Susan A. (Pirog) O'Connor, 62, of Avon, former Bristol resident, wife of Bryan T. O'Connor, died Sunday June 7, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Hartford. Susan was born in Bristol on January 8, 1953 and was a daughter of the late Edward P. and Lucia (Fantasia) Pirog. She resided in Bristol most of her life where she graduated from Bristol Central High School and moved to Avon five years ago. She was employed in Administration at the Bristol Hospital for the past 25 years. Susan is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Heather O'Connor of Burlington; a daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Louis DeLoreto of West Hartford; two brothers, Philip Pirog of Bristol and Bobby Pirog of Bloomfield Hills, MI; four grandchildren, Jack and Liam DeLoreto and Matthew and Jacob Morneault; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday June 12, 2015, 9 A.M. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Joseph Church, Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home on Thursday between 5 and 8 P.M.
