Vincent D'Andrea Obituary

D'ANDREA, Vincent Vincent D'Andrea, 88, of Bristol, husband of Mary (DiSabato) D'Andrea, died Friday, (November 23, 2007) at the Bristol Hospital. Vincent was born September 22, 1919, in Pietrelcina, Italy and was a son of the late Antonio and Adeline (Lombardi) D'Andrea. He resided in Bristol most of his life and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He owned and operated the D'Andrea Motel in Wainscott, L.I., NY and prior to retiring he was employed at the Shaffer Company, Bristol. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Bristol, the American Legion Seicheprey Post #2, and the Bristol Lodge of Elk's #1010. In addition to his loving wife, Vincent is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Vito and Patricia D'Andrea of Wainscott, L.I., NY and Vincent J. and Rachael D'Andrea of Bristol; five grandchildren, Shannon, Matthew, Brian, David, and Jeffrey D'Andrea; two great grandchildren, Judah D'Andrea and Jack Mather; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 26, 9 a.m. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Joseph Church, Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bristol Community Organization, Transportation Department, 55 South St., Bristol, CT 06010.
