KUCKEL, William L. Sr. William L. Kuckel ,Sr. 65 of Summerfield, FL (formerly of Marlborough) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, (November 1, 2006) with his family by his side. His strength, courage, humor and determination the last year of his illness were an inspiration to all. Bill was born in Hartford, the son of Louis Kuckel and Mary Kuckel . He moved to Florida seven years ago. He retired from the Metropolitan District Commission in 1999 after 39 years of service. He was very active in numerous company and community activities. Kuckel, Jr. and his wife Debra of Moosup; a daughter Karen Neff of Phoenix, AZ, an adopted daughter Kris Giles of Phoenix, AZ; two brothers and two sisters, Robert S. Kuckel of Newington, Richard J. and his wife Nancy of Newington, Shirley K. Burns and her husband Raymond J. of Wethersfield and Jacqueline M. Maliszewski and her husband Robert J. of Newington. He is also survived by four dearly loved grandchildren, Benjamin Neff, Nicholas Neff, William Kuckel III and Brittany Main. He also leaves to cherish his memory a brother-in-law Robert C. Putnam of New Britain, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. A special thanks to the Ocala Medical Center, 5-North at the Moffett Cancer Center and Hospice of Marion County for their considerate care during his illness.
