Robert Fagan Obituary
Hattiesburg - Robert Edward Fagan, 74, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021, at his home after a lengthy illness. His wife of 38 years, Patsy, and his faithful lab, Henry, were at his side.
Robert was born, raised, and educated in Hattiesburg and never wanted to leave. He followed in his grandfather's and father's footsteps in the car business. He was employed at Ryan Motors for 25 years as a salesman, used car and new car manager. He then fulfilled his dream of owning his own business, Fagan Cars and Trucks, with his good friend, Marvin Seal. Later, he helped his nephews, Bryan and Michael Strahan, in their business, Strahan Auto Sales.
Robert's other passion was golf. He loved to play at the Hattiesburg Country Club with his "Padnas". Because he always did everything in moderation, he made six holes-in-one in his golf career: one at Timberton, one at Canebrake, one at Shadow Ridge, and three at the Hattiesburg Country Club.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Taylor and Irene Fagan and his younger brother, Dan.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy; his brother, Fred Fagan; his sister, Frances Walley; his sons, John and Stephen; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his sister-in-law, Pam Strahan.
There will be a celebration of Robert's life on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the Hattiesburg Country Club at 11 a.m. It will be a very casual event because Robert always hated to dress up!

What a nice guy. Met and new Robert at the old Fountain Blu appartments back in the early and late seventies. Then when he went on for his own in the car sales. May he Rest in Peace.
