William Stites Obituary

William Ballinger Stites, also known as Bill, passed away on Sept. 29, 2023, at the age of 74 in Lake Havasu City.
Bill was born in Millville, New Jersey on Aug. 4, 1949, to William Ballinger Stites and Mary Stites. He was a graduate of Millville Senior High School. Bill served his country in the US Army, enlisting in August of 1969 and served in Vietnam. He has received a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and the Vietnam Staff Medal.
On April 26, 1969, Bill married Linda Lou Stites in Millville, New Jersey. They share a daughter, Nora Vaca (Isaac Vaca), from La Pine, Oregon. They have two grandchildren named Toby and Sonny Vaca.
Bill was the proprietor of Stites Hess in Millville for 15 years.
In 1986, Bill and his family moved to Lake Havasu City. He was self-employed until he decided to semi-retire, and then he worked for the city of Lake Havasu City Water Department until his retirement in 2021.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Stites, and his sister Mary Ann Stites.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Stites of 54 years, his daughter, Nora Vaca, his son-in-law, Isaac Vaca, and his two grandsons, Toby and Sonny Vaca. Also, sister Billie Bilko (Steven Bilko) along with nieces and nephews.
