James (Jim) V. Jordan

James (Jim) V. Jordan passed away peacefully on April 20, 2024, at Barnes hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Jim was born on May 29, 1937, in Bloomington, IL, to Edwin and Sally Jordan. Jim graduated from Deland-Weldon High School and went on to have a successful career in the Army Reserves and a professional career as a labor standards analyst for Superior Essex where he retired in 1999.
Jim was preceded in passing by his parents, Ed and Sally; and brothers: John and Jerry. he leaves behind his loving wife, Marilyn of 59 years; his daughter, Kim and her husband Doug; son, Todd and his wife Tonya; and four grandchildren, Emily, Alex, Benjamin and Bailey.
Jim was very proud of his family and was known for saying (not a loser in the bunch) He spent many years building lasting memories vacationing and spending quality time with his family. Jim, Dad, Gampa will be deeply missed by all of the friends and family.
A visitation will be held at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 3465 N McArthur Road in Decatur, IL on Friday April 26, 2024 from 6:00 PM - 8:00PM. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday April 27, 2024, at First Congregational Church followed by a graveside prayer at Boiling Springs Cemetery 3441 Boiling Springs Rd, Decatur.
