Dear John, Howard, Barbara & Family

We were so sorry to hear of Aunt Melba's passing. I am so glad that I got to speak to her 2 weeks ago. I will always remember the trips that the 4 of you made to Chicago ever summer. What fun we had going to Arlington Park and the chicken dinners we had on Sundays with my Mom, Dad and Sister. I wlll always remember the conversations that your Mom and I had about the Borsa's. How she loved all of her family. She always ended our conversation with I love you Carol and I told her that I loved her.

I will always love you Aunt Melba and Uncle Siggy. You both will be in my heart forever.

Love, Carol & Ken

With the passing of Aunt Melba, a void will forever be left in my heart. To know her was definitely to love her. She was kind, loving, generous, funny, and a wonderful cook. The memories of my childhood are all the more special because she was a part of them. I feel so fortunate to have spent so much time with her when I was a child. I will always remember the many afternoons that she , my grandmother Margie, John Jr., and I spent out at the pool (after the Guiding Light of course!) The saddest part for me is that Logan will not have the opportunity to have this incredible person as a part of his life. She will be missed each and every day.

Dear John & Howard: There are no words that I can say at this time that will ease your pain and sorrow, unfortunately only time can take care of that. I feel so very blessed to have grown up with all of my family around me and Aunt Melba was such a very important part of my life. I will never forget the Sunday morning breakfasts and all of the wonderful family picnics. We all knew how important the family was to your Mom and how much she loved all of us. I hope your memories and wonderful pictures of the great lady will help you through this most difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.
All my Love, Brenda

To Borsa Family:
I was a volunteer at Odyssey Hospice and visited Melba weekly. Although I only knew Melba a short time, it was clear to me how nice and loving she was. It was also apparent that this woman was deeply loved and supported by her family. I will miss my visits I had with her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

To the Borsa Family:
I was a volunteer at Odyssey Hospice and visited Melba weekly. Although I only knew her a short time, I found her to be a very sweet woman. It was very obvious the loving family that she had supporting her. I last saw Melba on Wednesday evening and she was telling me of her recent visit from family in Miami. I will certainly miss the visits I had with Melba. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Melba Borsa was my aunt and I cannot remember a time when she was too busy to talk to me or help me (and I needed a lot of help on many occasions). Aunt Melba, I loved you with all my heart but I know that you are in a much better place than I am and I have a feeling that you are Marge are having a grand old time talking about how everyone could do whatever it might be they were doing better. I will miss you every day of my life and I know we will see each other again some day and laugh and get in trouble like we always did. Please know that I will never forget the times we spent together and the laughs we had. God Bless You. All my love, Linda.

Dear John and Howard:

Your mother was my mother for the past 43 years and she was the best mother-in-law any daughter-in-law could have wished for. She always treated me like a daughter and we always got along. Even in her last days of life she told me that I was a good person and have always taken care of her son. She said we were alike in many ways and how much we both liked the color red. I reminded her how she taught me to cook, clean and be a wife only a week ago and she agreed that I was a good cook and cooked just like her. After I had John, Jr., we spent four years together every day going grocery shopping, picking vegetables and just doing what we wanted to do. I even got involved with cooking lunch for all of the sisters. She was a mother to John,Jr. ever since he was born and some of John, Jr.'s best qualities were because of her love and patience with him. We always had a lot of laughs together and she said I always made her laugh and have a good time. When we left her last Saturday, she told John and I that she loved us and we kissed her goodbye for the last time. She will be with me the rest of my life and I cherish the times we spent together. All my love, Sherry
