Oswaldo S. Calvo

CALVO, OSWALDO S. Noted Cuban actor, born in Havana on August 29, 1931, died in Miami on May 9, 2008. Oswaldo had a long and distinguished artistic career that began in his beloved Cuba and continued after his exile in 1960 in Mexico, Puerto Rico and ultimately Miami, which included theater, television and film, locally and internationally in Spanish as well as English. He is survived by his wife Marta Morilla de Calvo, his brother Fernando and sister in law Zaydee, his brother- in-law Jorge Morilla, his nephews Fernando Calvo Jr. and Jorge Morilla Jr., his nieces Zaydee Calvo, Laura Morilla and Michelle Morilla Ludel (and husband Andy Ludel), his grand nephews Alexander and Justin Ludel, and his grand nieces Aldana Calvo and Kristina Ludel. Services are today Monday at Woodlawn Park North at 11:30 a.m., departing at 11:00 a.m. from Caballero Rivero Woodlawn funeral home in Westchester.
