Robert Ewell Obituary

EWELL ROBERT, 82, a resident of North Miami since 1948, coming from Scituate, MA passed away Friday, June 6, 2003. A Navy Veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific. A graduate of the University of Miami with a degree in accounting, he retired from the U.S. Post Office after 30 years of service, and was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Perrine Lodge #380. A member of St. James Catholic Church, together with his father, in 1954, they started the St. Vincent De Paul Society of the Church, and he considered it his "full time job" even after his retirement. He earned the undying love, respect, trust and admiration from everyone that knew him. No matter what the situation, you could always count on him to have a joke to make you laugh and to pick up your spirits. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Survived by his loving daughter, Terry Ewell; beloved brother, Richard Ewell, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Cofer-Kolski-Combs Funeral Home, 10931 N.E. 6th Ave., where the Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 12 noon at St. James Catholic Church followed by Entombment in Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
