Marjorie Seutter Obituary

Marjorie Jane Seutter (Orr) died peacefully on Nov. 13, 2017, at Quail Park Memory Care at the age of 80.
She married David Seutter in 1957 and they had 53 happy years together prior to his death in 2010. Marge and Dave owned the Polar Bear Drive-in in the early 1960s, then owned and operated the Polar Cub DrIve-in until 1978. Marge then worked at First Interstate Bank as a loan officer and, after a few years in this profession, decided to become a realtor. Her job as a realtor kept her very busy and she thoroughly enjoyed her colleagues and clients.
Marge loved to travel and went to several countries, including Belize, Costa Rica, Cook Islands, Germany, Greece, Czech Republic, Egypt and France and several states in the U.S. She loved the Lord and was involved and loved her church family at Klamath Christian Center. Probably her greatest joy in her later years came from working with her CASA kids - the children she was assigned to had a very special place in her heart.
Survivors include her loving family: brother, Tom (Mary), and sister, Carol Wiman (Don); son, Greg (Bonnie); daughters, Marti Baird (Jerry) and Wendy Durighello; grandchildren, Brian, David Christopher, Tara, Sarah, Jenna, Amanda, Alexander, Jacob and Isabela; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A picnic/potluck to honor and celebrate Marge's life will be held next summer at Lake of the Woods. Further information regarding this gathering will be forthcoming in May.
Marge's family requests that donations be sent in her memory to CASA to further their work with at-risk children in our community.

As a child, Marge lived across the street from us. I had known her for 56 years. She helped us buy our first home and two others after. We didn't know that she was ill. She was present during so many of our happy and sad moments. Dennis and I will miss her! "Well done, good and faithful daughter."

Marge was a great boss when I worked for her and Dave at the Polar Cub and dealing with her for many years later at the paint store. Heartfelt thoughts go out to all of you.

We are so very sorry to hear of your loss. The Seutter family has been a part of our lives for many years, not only through Klamath Christian Center, but also Marge's realty business. We are still living in the house she helped us buy in 1999. We will miss her a great deal. Our thoughts, prayers, and love are with you.

Marge was one of our first friends in Klamath Falls, nearly 40 years ago. We loved her - she was definitely one of God's favorites! Thank you, Lord, that you have taken her home to be with you...
