William Block

William Cecil Block Jr. passed away in St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Ore., Sept. 27, 2014. William "Billy" was born June 25, 1956, in Klamath Falls, Ore., to William Cecil Block Sr. of Marrietta, Ga., and Joan Lee Ortis Block of Klamath Agency, Ore. Billy raced dirt bikes in his younger years, receiving many first place awards. He loved the outdoors, camping, reading science fiction books and especially cooking! It was something he excelled at, earning the name "Barbecue Bill." He will be missed dearly by family and friends. Survivors include his sisters, Debra Block, Leslie Harris and Susan Waterbury; brother, Dennis Block; aunt, Shirley Ortis; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; special friend, Brad Angrimson, and many others. He was preceded in death by his father, William "Mr. B"; mother, Joan, and uncle, Purnell. Graveside services will be at Keno Cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 11 a.m., with a potluck to follow at the home of Eda McKenzie on Keno Worden Road.
