James - I've always been thankful to your mom for helping so many of us develop the skill of typing. I'm so sorry to hear of her loss and just wanted you to know that I've been thinking of you at this difficult time.

I just learned that Mrs. Shuler has passed. She was my teacher over 50 yrs ago and as a result of her excellent skills, I have always been a good typist. She was certainly a lady, and the Shulers lived just about a block from where I was born and raised. She played the piano at the memorial at the 1st Baptist Church for my parents, Tom and Stella Ashe. I know she will be missed by many people.

So sorry to hear of Christine's Passing. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. I was in her typing class for 3 years, and it was a pleasure to have her as my teacher. God Bless and comfort her family.

Christine Shuler was only a great teacher, but, she was a true lady. Rest in peace, neighbor.

It has been over fifty years ago that we had Mrs. Schuler for a Teacher. If it not been for her Typing Class I may be typing on my computer with one or two fingers. A big thank you for your dedication to the education of so many.

Deloria and Karen, I wish I could be there to be with both of you during this difficult time. What a legacy your mom has left. One of my secret weapons on my job is that I can script notes at meetings because I can type faster than the speed of light. I am feared when I am asked to represent teachers because I capture everything. I hope your mom is smiling down from heaven as she relishes her good work. RIP Mrs. Shuler.

To the Shular family:
What a wonderful teacher and person I met in my first years of teaching. She was so professional, yet so thoughtful and caring about the students and staff. She was the real " touch of class", to all who knew her. I will never forget as i walked by her class everyday, "hands on home keys, ready, set, type". She was a wonderful mentor, teacher and friend. Respectfully, Nancy Snyder

James, Deloria and Karen, may your many wonderful memories of your Mother help ease your grief. She left her legacy to all of us that were fortunate to have our lives touched by hers. RIP Mrs. Shuler, your work here is done.

I'm so thankful I was able to visit with Aunt Christine the day before she passed. I held her hand, told her I loved her and was happy that she was going to see Uncle Weldon soon. She had a huge smile. I know she is in Heaven and not only had a great reunion with those who've gone on before but is forever at peace in the presence of our Savior. Prayers of comfort for the family.

James, Karen, Delorea & families may you find peace in the fact that she is home with The Lord and many family and friends that preceded her

I will miss you, you were a bigger part of my early life than I think you and Weldon realized. With my family torn apart, you took me in to your home and treated me as your own. I will never forget the "coaching for what's ahead in life" that we had. I never felt like a foster kid, we talked, we cooked and even talked about a garden in the back yard. What a wonderful lady, when I got into hot water, Christine was the first to step forward and poured out all the love and care that I needed. I remember teasing here about how much more her southern drawl added to her coaching, she only responded with a blush and a smile. There are only a few people in my life who command the greatest respect and she is in that group. God must be feeling a little more comfortable now, one of his best is at his side.

My life is richer in so many ways for knowing this wonderful Mother of my BFFs, my teacher, neighbor, my Church leader and friend of 45 years. I'm glad I know Christine is in Heaven with her Savior and family. May God comfort you all.
