Iris Wilson Obituary

February 17, 1932 - July 5, 2017 Iris J. Wilson was born on February 17, 1932 and passed away peacefully on July 5, 2017. She lived her early years in Montana and the remainder of her life in the Seattle area. Iris married her high school sweetheart, George "Bud" Wilson on September 1, 1950 and they enjoyed 20 years together. She was a hard worker and was a grocery clerk for many years at Safeway, QFC and Albertsons. She shared her later years and many trips to Mexico with Bill Oehler. She was a fun-loving, generous person who made the world's best apple crisp, always accessorized and had style. She loved boats and fishing in Mazatlan and the San Juans and sunbathing at the Potholes. Iris loved a good joke and laugh and was the queen of serving appetizers and cocktails on her many motorhome trips. She was a night owl who loved new cars, preferably convertibles, dancing and parties and could beat anyone at Gin Rummy. She loved her family and was blessed with three children, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren who will dearly miss her. A gathering to celebrate her life is planned for a later date.
