Mary Hanson

1947 - 2022

Mary Evelyn Hanson, (74) daughter of Fredrick Bushinger and Beatrice Seifert passed away Tuesday, March 22nd 2022 at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham Washington. Mary was born in Cass Lake Minnesota on August 24th, 1947. She married James Merle Hanson on September 4th, 1965 in Glenville Freeborn Minnesota. Her and James welcomed three children Wayne, Wendy, and John. They moved to Washington State in 1971 where they raised their children. Mary and James had 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mary was a beloved mother, sister, grandma, great-grandma, and aunt. All that had Mary in their life knew that she loved them dearly. Mary loved wolves, camping, garage saling, and bingo. She loved being with all her family and taking care of others. Mary is preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Beatrice, her sisters Patricia and Sherry, her husband James, her brother-in-law Leroy Crabtree and her granddaughter Kailey Hanson. She leaves behind her sister and best friend Gloria Crabtree. Her children Wayne Hanson, Wendy Nelton and Husband Louis Nelton and John Hanson. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and their spouses and 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. A memorial for Mary will be held at noon May 7th, 2022 at Granite Falls Senior Center. August 24, 1947 - March 22, 2022
