Ruth Lemon Obituary

Ruth Edna Lemon, 89, of Snohomish, WA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, surrounded by her four loving daughters and other family members. Ruth was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and spent her childhood speed skating, playing basketball, and learning musical instruments like the violin. In 1951 Ruth, an accomplished Ice Figure Skater, met and married Bob Lemon, a handsome young Hockey player from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and off they went on an exiting adventure that lasted over 63 years. They first moved to Seattle to start their family and over the years they owned and operated numerous businesses in Snohomish County including 4 Seasons Garden Center and 4 Seasons Landscaping. They moved to Snohomish in 1964 where in addition to managing the businesses they raised four beautiful daughters. Ruth loved taking long RV trips with Bob and spending time with all of their friends and family throughout the US and Canada. Eventually they fell in love with Desert Hot Springs, CA, and would spend their winters there surrounded by wonderful friends. Ruth also liked spending time in Maui with Bob and family and friends. Ruth loved a good game of cards, watching her beloved Seahawks, going to breakfast with family, or just being surrounded by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her four loving and caring daughters, Nancy Lemon-Knoll, Peggy Clark (Mark), Cathy Allen (Steven), and Cindy Lemon-Hovde (Rod); 11 grandchildren: Cari (Carl), Jennifer (Josh), Robin (Brad), Heidi, Bobby (Brittany), Dustin (Stephanie), Tami (Jack), Alyson (Rob), Amanda (Brandon), TC (Val), and Nathan (Katie); and 15 great grandchildren: Hayden, Anderson, Hiley, Elleanor, Leda, Grayson, Adeline, Jack, Emmitt, Evelyn, Beaux, Eli, Ben, Logan, and Lennox. Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert 'Bob' Lemon; her parents, Frank and Elsie Neiszner, brothers, Leonard and Arthur, and granddaughter, Carlianne. The Family would like to thank the staff at Providence Hospital in Everett, WA, for all the wonderful care. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity. This one is for the family. You were blessed to have such good parents to show you how to love and raise your kids. We all at Almar will miss you. When I see the stars at night I believe you are riding on one with your crazy husband.

I will always remember how much your Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren loved you as they always visited you first before coming across the driveway to see Peggy and I. I am a better man and husband for having you in my life and will miss you dearly.
