Taylors, South Carolina - Robert Chadwick "Chad" O'Neal, 57, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732 with Reverend Jerry Devinney officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm until 1:45pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
Born in Lynchburg, VA, Chad O'Neal was the son of Junior Gunter and the late Ann Keyes Gillespie. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Trident Technical College with an Associate in Applied Science – Aircraft Maintenance Technology. He worked for PSA Airlines, a subsidiary of American Airlines in Greer, SC for the past four years.
Chad is survived by his sister, Angie Gunter Shaver of Rock Hill, (fiancé, Dan Senich); two brothers, Wayne and John Gillespie of Roanoke, VA; a niece, Kaytlin Shaver of Rock Hill; two nephews, Mason and William Gillespie of Roanoke, VA; and other extended family members and special lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Chad O'Neal's name to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), 205 Regency Executive Park Drive, #102, Charlotte, NC 28217.
