November 11, 1945 - May 13, 2023
York, South Carolina - Linda Bagley Porter, 77, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC. The service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with Reverend Terry Wingate officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
Born in Rock Hill, SC, Mrs. Porter was the daughter of the late Louie and Lucille Bagley. She was retired from the Rock Hill School District. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, especially Christmas stockings, and liked to watch game shows on TV. She loved the school children where she worked for many years.
Surviving are her spouse, Mack Porter; two sons, Mike (Amy) Bagley of Lake Wylie, SC, and David (Kelly) Porter of Chicago, IL; brother, Mickey (Carol) Bagley of Savannah, GA; and sister-in-law, Marie Bagley of Peachland, NC.

Mrs. Porter and I worked at Sunset Park Elementary. Not only did she love the children, she treated the teachers in special ways. She often made some dessert and put it in the lounge. Once it was a peanut butter pound cake which was divine! I asked her for the recipe which she cheerfully shared. Each time I make the cake, I think about her and her sweet smile. My sincere condolences to the family. I hope your wonderful, loving memories bring you comfort now.

She was very passionate lady i became friends with and her husband at McDonald´s loved her very much I´m going to miss her but she is home now
