James Dean Hauch, 75, of Buchanan, passed away at Spectrum Health Lakeland Medical Center on Nov. 25, 2021.
A gathering will be from 1-4 p.m. on May 21, at the New Troy American Legion, 4789 Weechik Road, New Troy, MI 49119.

James was born Sept. 28, 1946, in New Troy, the son of the late John and Lillian (Henspeter) Hauch.
On Dec. 26, 1964, he married Vicki Shafer and they shared 56 years together. James owned and operated H&H machine service for 42 years. James loved fishing, woodworking, gardening, and going to the cottage up north. He liked to cook and make homemade red wine. James will be remembered as a good guy to everyone. He was a member of the Weesaw Township Fire Department for 30 years.
Survivors include his wife: Vicki; children: Douglas (Teresa Faulkner) Hauch and Angela Hauch; grandchildren: Amber (Tony Martin) Bradshaw, Kody (Bonnie) Hauch, Joshua (Rachel) Hauch; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters; and two sisters-in-law: Rexalee Ireland and Laura (Elmer) Copeland.
James was also preceded in death by a sister, Loretta (George) Zielke; three additional brothers and sisters; and a brother-in-law, David John Ireland.
Arrangements entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel. 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman.

Jim was just an all-around great guy. Loving, kind, funny, thoughtful... He was a great brother and brother in law to my parents and a fantastic uncle. I will always hold dear to my heart the memories of us fishing together, our talks, and the live and stories he shared
