Gene Gafford, 81, Sarasota, died April 7, 2015. Born in Fort Myers, Florida he moved to Sarasota in 1972 from Biloxi, Mississippi and was a Veteran of the US Air Force. Predeceased by his parents Lodwick and Maggie (Moore) Gafford; survived by sons, Eric (Susana) of Savannah, GA and Timothy of Sarasota, FL; daughter, Petra Somsen of Ouray, Colorado; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation 6-8PM Friday, April 10, 2015 at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209. Graveside Services 10AM Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Joshua Creek Cemetery, 4534 Southeast County Road 760, Arcadia, FL 34266. Condolences made to www.brownandsonsfuneral.com.

We are truly sadden by Gene's passing. He was a great friends for ma ny years...we were friend beginning in Biloxi and co workers in the P.I. and Thailand...continuing on till his death. I have great memories of our times and those will last me the rest of my life's. God rest his soul...maybe St Peter will let him chase bling in Heaven...our prayers to his family in their sorrow...
