John Richard 'Jack' Searle, age 91, of Venice, Florida, passed away on November 10, 2014. He was born on July 2, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois. His desire to live life to the fullest took him and his family to New York, California and finally to Venice in 1993. Jack was a professional singer of both secular and Christian music and he retired in 2000. He had an unwavering faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ throughout his entire life which enabled him to inspire thousands through his testimony and music. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II. Jack is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathleen; his daughter, Marita E. (Christopher) Schott of Venice and a son, Mark K. (Amanda) Searle of Jacksonville, Florida. He also leaves behind two, loving grandchildren, Keenan Schott and Brighton Schott both of Venice. A visitation will be held from 2:00PM-4:00PM with a funeral service to be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Farley Funeral Home in Venice. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:30AM on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Sarasota National Cemetery.
