Christopher J. O'Mara

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Christopher John O'Mara, of Haverford, Pa., formerly of Hickory, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at his residence. Chris worked in the textile industry and was a former member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Hickory. He was an avid golfer and loved traveling with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Kershner O'Mara; daughters, Hailey and Maggie O'Mara; a son, Christopher O'Mara Jr.; his father, Joseph O'Mara; his mother, Helen Martin O'Mara; a brother, Timothy O'Mara of Hickory, N.C.; and sisters and brother-in-law, Meighan McGovern and husband, Peter, and Katie Mears and husband, Bob. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at St. John Neumann Church, 330 Highland Lane, Bryn Mawr, Pa. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church, beginning at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Malvern Preparatory School, 418 S.
