Dewey Keller Obituary
May 2, 1947 - November 7, 2022
Dewey Lynn Keller went home to the Lord Monday, Nov. 7, 2022.
He was born in Catawba County, May 2, 1947. He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Flowers Keller; and mother, Hazel Yount Keller. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hudson.
Dewey received an undergraduate degree at Western Carolina after which, he moved to Florida, where he received a master's degree in criminal justice at the University of Miami and then a JD degree from Nova University. He passed the Florida Bar, where he practiced law for a short period of time.
He met Ana Rascon in Miami and soon thereafter, they were married. Dewey and Ana then moved back to North Carolina in 1982, where Dewey opened his own law practice. Dewey practiced law in Caldwell County for over 35 years, where he cultivated numerous friendships and helped many people.
He paid special attention to those in need and was always willing to help. Dewey was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lenoir and in Hickory. He enjoyed the fellowship of being a mason and spending time with friends he made there.
He is survived in his wife of 48 years, Ana Rascon Keller; and two sons, William Washington Keller II and his wife, Jamie Keller of Gaston County and Robert Edward Keller of Caldwell County. He is also survived by his younger brother, Nelson Keller and wife, Gloria Keller.
A visitation will be held at Hudson First Baptist Church at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 13. The funeral will begin at 3 p.m. Hudson First Baptist Church is located at 345 Main St. in Hudson.
In lieu of flowers, please send Memorials to the Masonic Children's Home in Oxford North Carolina or the Caldwell County Humane Society.
