Elizabeth Abernathy Obituary
Elizabeth Anne Abernathy, 82, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020.
Anne was a graduate of Hildebran High School and Gardner-Webb College. She lived and worked in Massachusetts 40 plus years, before returning to Raleigh.
She was predeceased by her mother, Edna Earle Cline Abernathy of Hickory; father, Frank B. Abernathy; and nephew, William Guy Bondurant II of Wilmington.
She is survived by her sisters, Susan Abernathy Bondurant of Wilmington and Jane Abernathy Zimmerman of Glen Burnie, Md.; brother, Patrick J. Abernathy (Brenda) of Taylorsville; nephews, Scott and Brad Abernathy of Taylorsville; niece, Stephanie Orendorf of Crofton, Md.; and many grand-nephews and -nieces.
We would especially like to thank Dara Ferguson, who was her very good friend and who cared for Anne in her final years.
