Robert Cline Obituary

Robert Cline CONOVER Robert "Bob" Joseph Lee Cline, 61, of Pecan St., Conover died Thursday, June 21, 2012 at his residence. Born June 26, 1950, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Howard Leon Cline and June Rosalie Teresa Battafarano. Bob served in the U.S. Army and spent his career driving trucks for various trucking companies. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife of 38 years, Carol Ann Stone Cline, of the home; two sons, Joseph William Cline, of Conover and David Lee Cline, of Conover; a sister, Patricia Hamby and husband, James, of Conover; a brother, Charles Cline and wife, Lynn, of Hickory survive him. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Richard L. Schwandt will officiate. Burial will follow at Marvin Church Cemetery in Conover. Military rites will be performed by The American Legion Post #16. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658. Please sign the online guestbook at Jenkins FuneralHome.net.
