John Bowditch Obituary
Jack graduated from Pittsford High School. He worked at Allied Products as a sheet metal pattern maker, retiring in 1993 after 28 years of service. For many years, Jack and his wife volunteered their home to be the Kimball Camp "Candy Warehouse" for their annual candy sale. He also was a volunteer driver for Perennial Park Meals on Wheels and was a former member of the Salvation Army Board of Directors. He was a member of the Hillsdale First United Methodist Church, where he participated in the hand bell choir and was a board trustee. He loved to golf, watch NASCAR and buy and consign fur coats. Jack also served his country in the United States Air Force.
Surviving besides his wife, Pat are three children, Diane Bowditch of Hillsdale, John (Ana) Bowditch of Newbern, NC and Michael (Patti) Bowditch of Knightstown, IN.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, James, Fredrick and Bruce.
Memorial services for Jack Bowditch will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, at the Hillsdale First United Methodist Church with Rev. Pat Brook officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.

Pat and family, I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Jack. I first met him when I went to work at Allied in 1973. Jack and my dad were also shop friends for many years. Over the years we ran into each other at the county fair, the church, or when I did work for you or your mother. My condolences to all of you.
