Aaron Frederick Obituary

Aaron David Frederick, born Nov. 2, 1926, in Logan, Utah, died Aug. 4, 2008, in Salt Lake City. He was the last of six children born to Dr. Hyrum John Frederick and Alfreda Lubrich Frederick.
Because his father was head of the Veterinary Science Department at Utah State Agricultural College for a number of years, David had a chance to learn about and care for farm animals and work on their farm. From his mother, born in Freystadt, Germany, and a convert of his missionary father, David developed a lifelong use of the German language. She also encouraged his musical talents. For many years, he regularly visited his brother Vincent's home to play his violin and electronic keyboard. He also enjoyed playing the harmonica. In more recent years, he daily listened to CDs and cassette tapes, mostly classical music interspersed with jazz selections. David also had artistic talent evidenced in leather work and a metallic picture of a leaping deer.
David graduated from Logan High School, where he participated in Glee Club activities and played bass violin in the orchestra. He looked forward to trips with his sister, Hilda, as she drove to scenic and historic spots in Utah and Idaho.
This talented, unassuming individual was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Irma, Elfriede (Brown) Hilda; and brothers, Harold and Vincent. He is survived by a niece, Imogene Brown.
Many thanks are extended to the caring employees of Infinia at Granite Hills, formerly Olympus Care Center, for their efforts over many years.
Graveside services will take place at 11a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at the Logan City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Home. Condolences may be extended to the family online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com.
