Allen Layne Obituary
Allen graduated from North Cache High School and Utah State University.
During his 42 years at Downey High School, he worked as a football coach, teacher and Principal.
In 2005, Downey High School football stadium was renamed the Allen Layne Stadium in his honor.
Allen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various positions.
Allen is survived by his brother Jerry Layne, of Smithfield, UT; sister Tamra Austin, of Preston, ID; wife Donna, of Santa Ana, CA; five daughters, 19 of 21 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
