HOWELL - Warren Bruce Hyde, 77, passed away Jan. 4, 2018. Bruce was born Nov. 8, 1940, in Tremonton, UT, to Helen Gwen Roundy and Sheriff Warren William Hyde.
He grew up in Brigham City, where he graduated from Box Elder High School and LDS Seminary in 1958. He enjoyed playing football much like his brother Marion and was a member of the 1957 Box Elder Bees state championship team.
Upon graduation he worked several years for Fife's Construction and as a candy salesman. He also served in the National Guard. Afterwards he was hired at Thiokol where he worked for more than 20 years.
On March 14, 1970, he married Janice "Jan" Johanson of Willard, UT. They later divorced.
He had a great love for animals, especially his two dogs Sim and Ledoux. Bruce had a special talent with horses, which he trained, chariot raced and won several awards. He enjoyed listening to old country music, hunting, fishing, golfing, or any excuse to be outdoors.
He is survived by his three children: Marci (Russ) Balvin, Norfolk, NE; Emily (Tim) Jaramillo, Brigham City, UT; Ryan (Becky) Hyde, Garden Plain, KS; his seven grandchildren, Melissa and Brock Balvin; Ali, Hunter and Alexis Jaramillo; Paisley and Clynt Hyde. He is also survived by his brother Marion R. Hyde of Hyde Park; sister Tonya L. Hyde of Ogden; and brother Wade H. Hyde of Harper Ward.
He was preceded in death by both parents, son Dustin Warren Hyde and ex-wife Jan Hyde.
Per his wishes their will not be a public visitation or service only a private family service. Interment will be in the Calls Fort Cemetery Harper Ward.
