Kandi,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope you can find peace knowing that your Dad is in a better place. He was a gentle, kind soul who's presence made this earth a better place. He was loved by many and will not be forgotten. His spirit still lives, especially within you. He will always be with you and looking out for you and Kriss. I know how hard it will be for you with him no longer physically on earth. But, in time, it will get easier and I hope you can smile when you think of him. I know he is smiling as he as reunited with your mother and our Lord. And, he is also smiling because he loves you and Kriss so much and knows the glory of Heaven where you will all see each other again. RIP Mr. Rankin. I hope the world can have more people like you in it.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Rankin's passing. I was a former student of his at Boudreaux Canal Elementary School in the mid 1960's. Years later I worked for him as a substitute teacher when he was the principal of that same school. I remember him to be a kind, soft-spoken and hardworking man who was truly dedicated to his profession. I know he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. Romans 8:18
