To the Simmons Family
On behalf of our Pastor, 1st Lady and the Resurrection Church we would like to offer our most sincere condolences to his children and the entire Simmons family. We intreat you to call upon and lean upon the Almighty for strength during the time of loss. Andrew was my line brother as we pledged The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated in the fall of 1974 at Texas Southern University almost 48 years ago. We graduated in the same year in 1973 but from different high schools. Andrew was a proud Worthing Colt in Sunnyside and I came from Hebert High School in Beaumont. Our other two line brothers were Armond Morgan from Dallas and Reginald Epperson from 3rd Ward in Houston. We all pledged Omega and became Omega men. We will forever love and cherish our brother Andrew and he never will be forgotten. To his children just remember the cherished memories of your father and remember all that he stood for. To his siblings, Jr. was one of a kind and the memories you have of him will sustain you with laughter for life. May Almighty God continue to bless this family.
Respectfully,
Dr. Garfield E. & 1st Lady Judy A. Como and The Resurrection Church family

My family and I extend our deepest condolences. I met Andrew 40 years ago and our friendship never wavered. We communicated weekly due to sharing the same interest or views. He never met a stranger due to his outgoing personality. He will truly be missed. RIH my brother.
