Bennett Lee "Ben" Engel

Beloved husband, father and son, BENNETT "BEN" LEE ENGEL of Friendswood, Texas passed away November 10, 2002 at the age of 57. He was born in Rosebud, Texas on December 15, 1944, the son of John Engel and the late Violet Morris Engel. Ben graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor Degree in Business and went on to receive a degree in accounting from the University of Houston. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. During his career, Ben worked as an accountant. He is survived by his wife, Karen Engel of Friendswood, Texas; his daughter Melissa Engel and her fiancé, Greg Pugh of Pearland, Texas; his son, Matthew Engel of Dallas, Texas; his father, John Engel of Rosebud, Texas; sister Beverly Engel of Dallas, Texas and two brothers, James Engel and wife, Mary of Waxahachie, Texas and Darrell Engel and wife, Annette of Rosebud, Texas. The family will receive friends for visitation, Tuesday, November 12, 2002 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home in Friendswood, Texas. Graveside Services and burial will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, November 14, 2002 at Phillips Cemetery in Travis, Texas.
